What “structured CPD” actually means

“Structured” CPD is learning with a defined objective, a defined method, and a record you can produce on request. It sits apart from the incidental reading and conversations that make up informal CPD.

For regulated professionals, the distinction matters because supervisors want to see that development was deliberate and measurable — a course with stated learning outcomes and a completion record, not simply hours logged after the fact.
